چکیده

In this article, we present a novel meshfree framework for fluid flow simulations on arbitrarily curved surfaces. First, introduce new Lagrangian to model Meshfree points or particles, which are used discretize the domain, move in sense along given surface. This is done without discretizing bulk around surface, parametrizing and background mesh. A key novelty that introduced handling of with evolving free boundaries The use moving deforming surfaces also introduced. Then, application solve problems defined numerically. combination generalized finite difference method (GFDM), strong form collocation scheme Navier–Stokes equations posed manifolds. Benchmark examples proposed validate surface presence boundaries.

A Lagrangian Approach for Computational Acoustics with Meshfree Method

Although Eulerian approaches are standard in computational acoustics, they are less effective for certain classes of problems like bubble acoustics and combustion noise. A different approach for solving acoustic problems is to compute with individual particles following particle motion. In this paper, a Lagrangian approach to model sound propagation in moving fluid is presented and implemented ...

A Lagrangian meshfree method applied to linear and nonlinear elasticity

The repeated replacement method (RRM) is a Lagrangian meshfree method which we have previously applied to the Euler equations for compressible fluid flow. In this paper we present new enhancements to RRM, and we apply the enhanced method to both linear and nonlinear elasticity. We compare the results of ten test problems to those of analytic solvers, to demonstrate that RRM can successfully sim...

The Repeated Replacement Method: A Pure Lagrangian Meshfree Method for Computational Fluid Dynamics

In this paper we describe the repeated replacement method (RRM), a new meshfree method for computational fluid dynamics (CFD). RRM simulates fluid flow by modeling compressible fluids' tendency to evolve towards a state of constant density, velocity, and pressure. To evolve a fluid flow simulation forward in time, RRM repeatedly "chops out" fluid from active areas and replaces it with new "flat...

Lagrangian Systems on Hyperbolic Manifolds

This paper gives two results that show that the dynamics of a timeperiodic Lagrangian system on a hyperbolic manifold are at least as complicated as the geodesic flow of a hyperbolic metric. Given a hyperbolic geodesic in the Poincaré ball, Theorem A asserts that there are minimizers of the lift of the Lagrangian system that are a bounded distance away and have a variety of approximate speeds. ...
